Independent Curators International, in collaboration with the Gerencia de Artes Plásticas y Visuales of the Instituto Distrital de las Artes, presents the second Curatorial Intensive in Bogotá, Colombia.

The fifth iteration of ICI's Curatorial Intensive in Latin America follows past Intensives in Minas Gerais, Brazil, with Inhotim (2012); Buenos Aires, Argentina, with MACBA (2013); Bogotá, Colombia, with the Gerencia de Artes Plásticas y Visuales of the Instituto Distrital de las Artes (2013); and Mexico City, Mexico with Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo (2014). As the fourth Intensive conducted entirely in Spanish, the program offers Spanish-speaking curators the opportunity to meet colleagues from around the world, share ideas on how to push the parameters of their practice, and build a network for future collaborations. 


Independent Curators International, en colaboración con el Departamento de Artes Plásticas y Visuales del Instituto Distrital de las Artes, presentó el segundo Curatorial Intensivo en Bogotá, Colombia.

Este programa marcó la quinta finalización del Curatorial Intensivo en América Latina, luego de los intensivos realizados en Minas Gerais, Brasil con el Instituto Inhotim (2012); Buenos Aires, Argentina con MACBA (2013); Bogotá, Colombia con la Gerencia de Artes Plásticas y Visuales del Instituto Distrital de las Artes (2013), y Ciudad de México D.F., México con la Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo (2014). Este fue el cuarto programa realizado íntegramente en español y ofreció a los curadores de habla hispana la oportunidad de conocer a colegas de todo el mundo, compartir ideas sobre cómo ampliar los parámetros de sus prácticas y construir una red para futuras colaboraciones.

The Institute is a public entity created in 2010 for the promotion, development, and strengthening of the arts in Bogotá. As part of the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation, and Sports, IDARTES leads programs in the fields of research, creation, circulation, education, and appropriation of the visual arts, music, performing arts, literature, audiovisuals, and dance. Its various lines of work include fellowships, scholarships, awards, and residencies, as well as alliances with organizations that include over 10,000 beneficiaries as well as the wide participation of over 2,000,000 people in more than 400 annual events.
