Join ICI and fellow art patrons for an unforgettable 8-day, 7-night journey through Brazil’s dynamic art scenes in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo! During ICI’s 50th anniversary year, we invite you to experience the city where we launched our first-ever traveling exhibition—VIDEOART U.S.A., presented in 1975 at the 13th Bienal de São Paulo—and take advantage of ICI’s new partnership with the Bienal to gain unique behind-the-scenes access to this year’s edition. Curated by Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung, the 36th Bienal, entitled Not All Travellers Walk Roads – Of Humanity as Practice, explores the potential of humanity as a methodology and practice that can address the overlapping environmental, economic, and social crises we face.
Developed in collaboration with ICI Trustee and Leadership Council Chair Sarina Tang, this one-of-a-kind trip offers artists' studio visits and private collection tours alongside exclusive private tour access to the 2025 Bienal de São Paulo, all while connecting with ICI’s global community of curators, artists, and collectors. We'll visit some of the most celebrated cultural institutions and galleries across two of Brazil's most storied cities, Rio de Janeiro (Nov. 7-10) and (São Paulo (Nov. 10-14), including the Museu de Arte de São Paulo, Pinacoteca de São Paulo, Galeria Nara Roesler, and Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro. Accommodations will include stays at the Philippe Starck-designed Fasano Rio de Janeiro (overlooking the world-famous Ipanema beach), and at the highly-coveted Rosewood São Paulo, known for its unparalleled luxury and exceptional service.
