Announcing the 2025 Coast Contemporary Curatorial Research Travelers: Arnau Horta (Curatorial Intensive alum, New York Fall 2013), Anna-Lena Panter, Foteini Salvaridi, and Misal Adnan Yildiz (Curatorial Intensive alum, New York Fall 2011)!

The Curatorial Research Travelers will participate in the 9th edition of the Coast Contemporary Research Journey & Assembly, which will take place at Velferden and in Stavanger, Norway from September 15 to 21, 2025. Coast Contemporary is a nomadic platform for discourse and art that brings together Norwegian and international curators, artists, and cultural workers for a multi-day program of performances, talks, film screenings, conversations, walks, food, and a conference program.

The 2025 edition is curated by Tanja Sæter, founder of Coast Contemporary, alongside artists and curators Maiken Stene and Hans Edward Hammonds, who offer the theme Mutant. Exploring interconnected ideas of adaptation/adoption, transmigration, alchemy, movement, materials, writing, food, sound, (non)humans, nature, ecology, politics, parenthood, science fiction, and the positive/negative, this edition will take place across Velferden Sokndals Arena for Contemporary Art, Sogndalstrand Culture Hotel, Hå Gamle Prestegård, Stavanger Kunsthall, Rogaland Art Center, Stavanger Art Museum, and Open Studios Stavanger.
