Developed by ICI, the Curatorial Assembly in New Orleans offers a small group of leading institutional curators, working in the American South, the opportunity to engage closely with their peers to explore pertinent issues relating to curating, programming, institutional building, audience engagement, and the development of regional and international networks.
The Curatorial Assembly proposes a format for knowledge exchange where each participant shares with the group their current research and upcoming programs, encouraging critical curatorial feedback from their cohort, while opening up the possibility of exploring the potential for cross-programing and institutional collaboration between the participants, and wth ICI.
The activities are led by María del Carmen Carrión (Director of Public Programs and Research, ICI) and Renaud Proch (Executive Director, ICI).
