In 1993, Hans Ulrich Obrist with artists Christian Boltanski and Bertrand Lavier, created do it, an exhibition based entirely on artist instructions which could be followed to create an exhibition of temporary works of art, challenging traditional exhibition formats and questioning authorship and promoting the ability of art to exist beyond the gallery space. In 2020, do it (home) was developed in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic, with a selection of archival and newly commissioned instructions meant to be shared out side the walls of an art space and distributed by collaborating art centers around the world.
On September 23, join Fundación CorpArtes with Direlia Lazo of Havana Art Weekend and Becky Nahom, ICI's Director of Exhibitions, to discuss the development and distribution of do it (home) in their communities.
