Ed Askew is a painter and singer-songwriter who lives in New York City. Born in Stamford Connecticut, he moved to New Haven to study painting at Yale Art School. In 1963 he took up residence there. Around 1987 Ed moved to New York City, where he continues to write and record songs, and occasionally perform. Ed has recorded with ESP, DeStijl, and Drag City.
Ed's band includes Tyler Evans - tiple / Jay Pluck - synth piano / Ed Askew - voice, harmonica
Marija Olšauskaitė is a Lithuanian artist living and working in Vilnius, Lithuania. She came to New York this winter to perform her recent piece and met Ed when accidentally stumbling across his concert one late evening at Zebulon, a musical venue in Williamsburg. She has also designed the poster for this event.
