Independent Curators International (ICI) supports the work of curators to help create stronger art communities through experimentation, collaboration, and international engagement. Curators are arts community leaders and organizers who champion artistic practice; build essential infrastructures and institutions; and generate public engagement with art. Our collaborative programs connect curators across generations, and across social, political and cultural borders. They form an international framework for sharing knowledge and resources — promoting cultural exchange, access to art, and public awareness for the curator’s role.
Lo Chun Yip
Lo Chun Yip studied film at the Hong Kong City University, School of Creative Media. From 2010 onwards he has produced several short films: deep in mind, 21 years after, Paradox and the latest one, his first feature film, Days After N Coming, which all set off from a historical perspective with regard to changes in society. In various demonstrations and mass campaigns, Lo has participated not only as filmmaker, but also as one of the many participants. On the streets, in rallies that are rigorous and yet romantic, he gets the chance to meet more people with the same interests. Each campaign uses different methods to raise social imagination, to gather more voices, to enhance thinking, and to outrun the dominance of giant monopoly.
