Juaniko Moreno is a curator and researcher based in New York and Bogotá. He specializes in modern and contemporary art, with a focus on alternative modernities, cosmotechnics, spirituality, and planetarity. Moreno has curated, coordinated, researched, and produced over 40 exhibitions. From 2022 to 2025, he served as Curator at the Bogotá Museum of Modern Art (MAMBO), where he developed individual survey shows and conducted comprehensive research on Latin American modern and contemporary art in dialogue with global contexts.
Moreno has been a research fellow at The Museum of Modern Art’s Cisneros Institute in New York and at the Strelka Institute’s The Terraforming Program in Moscow. His previous experience also includes curatorial and research support at the Institute of Contemporary Art and Social Thought (ICAST) in Hangzhou, China. He holds an MFA in Visual Culture and
Curatorial Studies from the China Academy of Art, and a BA in Fine Arts from the National University of Colombia. His research addresses computation, climate change, AI, and urbanism, and he has participated in events such as Tijuana Design Week (2024), the Lisbon Architecture Triennial (2022), the Rotterdam Architecture Biennial (2022), VAC Zattere (2022), and the Austrian Animation Film Festival (2021), among others.
