Tina Satter is a writer, director, teacher, and Artistic Director of the Obie-winning theater company Half Straddle based in New York City. She’s recipient of 2016 Foundation for Contemporary Arts and 2014 Doris Duke Impact Artist awards. Tina has written and directed 10 full-length shows and a number of performance and video pieces with Half Straddle that have premiered in New York City and shown at theaters and festivals in Europe, Japan, Australia, and the U.S. Tina has taught at a number of universities, most recently Yale, NYU, Hunter College, and University of Pennsylvania. Tina attended the graduate playwriting program at Brooklyn College and received an M.A. from Reed College and a B.A. from Bowdoin College. Her first collection of plays, Seagull (Thinking of you), was published by 53rd State Press in 2014, and an LP and play text for Ghost Rings was published by 53rdState in 2017.
