Hollie Kearns is an independent curator and arts producer, based in Kilkenny Ireland since 2011. Her practice involves working closely with artists to create rich community, heritage and ecological contexts to create new artwork. Throughout my practice participation, inclusion and collaboration have been the framework for artistic production.
From 2018-2024 she was the Learning and Public Engagement Curator at Butler Gallery, Kilkenny. Notable work amongst over 40 ongoing strands of programming included exhibition The Sustainment Experiments (2022) with artist Deirdre O’Mahony, and A Magic Moving Living Thing (2022-2025), a project by artist Mary Conroy which brought our audience’s attention to the River Suir through events at Butler Gallery and in the river.
Previous work includes Courtyard Screen (2016), a design-and-make project led by architects Studio Weave, group exhibition The Pattern Exchange (2015) Temple Bar Gallery, Dublin, co-curated with Rosie Lynch and three years of programming at Workhouse Union, co-founded with Rosie Lynch, which focused on architectural heritage.
