Shruti Ramlingaiah

Shruti Ramlingaiah is a curator and researcher based out of Mumbai, India. She has developed independent curatorial projects since 2020 and previously worked with a range of public and private art and cultural organisations. She has written on art majorly in the form of exhibition reviews and curatorial essays. She co-curated the third edition of the Students’ Biennale, Kochi Biennale Foundation. She is a resident curator at the RAi residency hosted by the RIZQ Art Initiative in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She participated in curatorial intensive program organised by Independent Curators International (ICI), New York and hosted by Njabala Foundation in Kampala, Uganda in 2022. She is selected for the Getty Foundation travel grant to Stockholm in 2018 and the EYES Project Fellowship awarded by the Japan Foundation Asia Center, Tokyo in 2019.

Through curating and writing, she has been researching concepts of sense and intuition as well as roles of meaning making and fiction as a curatorial approach. Currently, she is working on a project with a focus on changing ideas of home and movement situated in current uncertainties, existence, entanglements of histories, and relationship between people and their land. Her recent curated exhibitions include Echoes in Mumbai (2022), In the Blink of an Eye in Delhi (2022). She has completed a masters in Museology, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda IN and another MFA Art History and Visual Studies Hyderabad University, Hyderabad IN.
