Imagines Liricas/New Spanish Visions examines a critical moment in Spain's artistic landscape. Following the death of General Francisco Franco on November 20, 1975, Spain witnessed dramatic and extensive transformations in its political, economic, social, and cultural life. After forty years of isolation, young Spanish artists began to take part in major artistic movements of the late 20th century, and these eight artists exemplify the new visions that emerged.

In addition to its essays and plates, the publication features interviews with the artists, between: Patricio Cabrera and Mar Villaespesa, Gerardo Delgado and Kevin Power, María Gómez and María Corral, Perejaume and Jamey Gambrell, Juan Carlos Savater and Alexandre Melo, Soledad Sevilla and Dan Cameron, José María Sicilia and Jamey Gambrell, and Juan Uslé and Kevin Power. This book is bilingual in English and Spanish.
