Keynote: Eszter Szakács

In our third annual public curatorial conference as part of the 2026 Curatorial Forum, Mending Wall featured two panels and a keynote lecture with artists, curators, and cultural practitioners who explored what it means to be a "good neighbor" across institutional and artistic scales. In her keynote lecture “A Sense of Common Cause,” independent curator and researcher Eszter Szakács discusses five of her projects that “bring old collaborations into new constellations” and engage with grassroots art organizing outside state infrastructures, including the 41st EVA International (2025) – Ireland’s Biennial of Contemporary Art.
