New York Curatorial Seminar 2021

Aug 1, 2021 – Oct 31, 2021

ICI Online
ICI

NEW YORK, NY

This iteration of ICI’s Curatorial Seminar was conceived as a new professional development initiative to address the needs and challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting emerging curators and their local communities in New York.

With a focus on cultural rebuilding, this year's programming brings together five curators from the city to engage in discussions about their work, their communities, and the role of curatorial practice in organizing artistic communities during times of crisis. This initiative fosters the creation of a supportive network of like-minded peers who share common values.

The Seminar offers tailored mentorship sessions to meet the specific needs of curators, grants access to international perspectives and curatorial models through online lectures and seminars, and provides in-person networking opportunities. These activities aim to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and resources among curators working within and for their local communities.
