"You Belong Here": Tavares Strachan

During the recent biennial Prospect 3. Notes for Now, Tavares Strachan presented a neon work that read "You Belong Here" which traveled on a barge up and down the Mississippi River. This work will be the starting point for a conversation between the New York based artist and ICI's María del Carmen Carrión. They will discuss past and current projects and delve into a range of topics, specifically, what it means to be an artist in 2015.

María del Carmen Carrión is Project Manager for the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Research Institute for the Study of Art from Latin America, at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Tavares Strachan was born in 1979 in Nassau, Bahamas.
