Join ICI and the participants of the Curatorial Intensive in Mexico City on Monday, July 7 for a daylong public symposium where the participating curators will present the exhibition and project proposals that they have developed throughout the program. This Curatorial Intensive marks the third ICI program conducted entirely in Spanish. In collaboration with Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo, the program will focus on developments of the curatorial field and the changing role of the curator, while also exploring research-based initiatives, independent projects, collections and institutional building, among other topics.

Acompaña a ICI y los participantes del Intensivo Curatorial en Ciudad de México el Iunes 7 de Julio para un simposio público que durará el día completo, donde los curadores participantes presentarán las propuestas de exhibiciones y proyectos que han desarrollado durante el programa. Este Intensivo Curatorial es el tercer programa de ICI conducido completamente en español. En colaboración con Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo, el programa se enfocará en desarrollos en el ámbito de la curaduría y en el papel en constante cambio del curador, al mismo tiempo que explorará iniciativas de investigation, proyectos independientes y la gestión institucional, entre otros temas.

Marina Reyes Franco is a Curator at the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Puerto Rico (MAC).

TransHisTor(ia)

Founded in 2008 by María Sol Barón Pino and Camilo Ordóñez Robayo, TransHisTor(ia) develops research and artistic projects related to the history of art and visual culture in Colombia and the Americas.

Direlia Lazo

Direlia Lazo (b. La Habana, 1984) is an art historian from Universidad de la Habana.

Alba Colomo

Alba Colomo is a Spanish curator based in the UK.

Ana Maria Maia

Ana Maria Maia (b. Recife, 1984) is a curator based in São Paulo.

Leonardo Ramírez

Leonardo Ramírez is a visual artist and curator.

Ericka Florez

Ericka Florez (b. Colombia, 1983) is a curator and artist.

Geovana Ibarra

Geovana Ibarra is a curator based in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Sebastián Vidal Mackinson

Sebastián Vidal Mackinson is curator and independent researcher on contemporary Latin American art.

Bárbara Cuadriello

Bárbara Cuadriello (b. 1985) studied Art History at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla and since 2011 she has been working in the research department at the Colección Isabel y Agustín Coppel.

Yameli Mera

Yameli Mera is currently curator at Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros (SAPS) in Mexico City.

Stephanie Noach

Stéphanie Noach conducts research, writes, teaches, and curates exhibitions.

Silvia Alejandre Prado

Silvia Alejandre Prado is currently director of the Galeria de Arte Contemporaneo of the Instituto Veracruzano de Cultura, where she has worked since 2012.
