Drew Kahuʻāina Broderick is an artist, filmmaker, curator, educator, and community organizer from Mōkapu, Kailua, Koʻolaupoko. Raised in a deep-rooted matriarchy on the Windward side of Oʻahu, his work is guided by the multigenerational efforts of queer folk and Native Hawaiian women—especially his mother, aunties, and maternal grandmother—who have devoted their lives to art, culture, healing, and continuity in Hawaiʻi. In 2020, with his partner filmmaker Sancia Miala Shiba Nash, Drew co-founded kekahi wahi, a grassroots film initiative focused on documenting stories of transformation across Moananui, the Pacific Ocean. From 2015 to 2018, Drew was a contributing member of artists collective PARADISE COVE along with Bradley Capello and Marika Emi. Between 2012 and 2016, Drew operated artist-run venue SPF Projects in Honolulu, Oʻahu.

Kahanu; and Hawaiʻi Triennial 2022: Pacific Century – E Hoʻomau no Moananuiākea with Dr. Miwako Tezuka and Dr. Melissa Chiu.
