Josseline Pinto (b. 1996, Guatemala) is an independent curator, researcher, and educator currently working between Guatemala and Madrid. She holds an MA in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture from the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spain. Pinto is a recipient of the Cader Institute of Central American Art and the Reina Sofía Museum Foundation Study Grant. She currently serves as Exhibitions Coordinator at the Spanish Cultural Center in Guatemala.
Her recent curatorial projects include La Imagen Quema: Perspectivas del Videoarte en Guatemala (2022) at CCE Guatemala; Reactivando Videografías (2020), guest curator for the online project directed by the Network of Spanish Cooperation Cultural Centers and the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome; and Somos Aunque Nos Olviden (2020), guest curator for the exhibition at Centro Cultural Tlatelolco in Mexico City.
She was a Fellow at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome (2021) and has participated in several international curatorial training programs, including the Programa de Formación Curatorial at TEOR/éTica (2019) in Costa Rica, the Curatorial Intensive Mexico City by Independent Curators International (2018), and the 3rd edition of Escuela de Crítica de Arte at La Tallera, Cuernavaca, Mexico (2017). Her research has been published in books and journals on Central American art, focusing on contemporary art, performance, and video art in the region.
