Daniela Pérez is an independent curator based in Mexico City. She was awarded a curatorial grant from the Foundation for the Arts Initiatives and was part of the curatorial team of the 9 Mercosul Biennial in Porto Alegre, Brazil (2013). She is co-founder of de_sitio, a platform that conceptualizes, develops, and promotes contemporary art projects. Between 2007–11, she was Associate Curator at Museo Tamayo. She has worked at Museu de Arte Moderna, Sao Paulo; New Museum, New York; and Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Mexico. Pérez writes regularly for art magazines and catalogs, and has taught at the art schools of La Esmeralda and Soma. She studied art history in Mexico City, and obtained a Master’s degree in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London.
