Sarah A. Rifky is a writer, curator, and art historian examining cultural infrastructure, modernism, and contemporary art in Egypt and the Arab world. She has held leadership roles at the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU, ArteEast, documenta (13), Townhouse Gallery, and co-founded Beirut in Cairo. She holds a Ph.D. from MIT.
