Benjamin Stafford is a curator and writer based in Ireland, where he works closely with artists to realise exhibitions, performances and publications.
Benjamin has worked as a curator and director in public and private institutions, including Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, the Arts Council of Ireland, and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
Since 2021 he is Visual Arts Curator at VISUAL, Ireland’s largest purpose-built gallery space where he directs the visual arts programme. Recent projects include solo exhibitions by Dominique White (2025), Amie Siegel, Ulla von Brandenburg (both 2024), Elizabeth Cope (2022), and a major retrospective and publication on Derek Jarman (2019/2020).
He has curated over 30 exhibitions and performances in Ireland and Europe, and has edited and written for to a wide range of catalogues and monographs. He also maintains and occasional independent publishing practice. He holds an MA in Art and Research Collaboration from IADT.
