Yusuf Dubois Abdul Lateef is a visual artist and educator whose work bridges studio practice, public engagement, and creative education. Grounded in self-exploration, his practice draws on materials that are within reach and easily accessible, transforming them into abstract visual language that reflects everyday experience. Influenced by artists such as Howardena Pindell and Jacob Lawrence, Lateef explores how making becomes a way of processing and understanding the world. Holding an MFA in 2D arts as Social Practice from Bowling Green State University, he develops experiential curricula that connect intuitive studio practice to creative industry readiness, empowering learners to see art as both personal reflection and communal action.
