Erkan Öznur

Erkan Öznur (Turkey, 1976) holds an MFA from the Sculpture department at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art; and a BA in Classical Archaeology from the University of Istanbul. Recent exhibitions include: The Cat is Killing the Birds, but I Love her Anyway, La Casita, Bogota, 2018; Shades of Today: Picking up the Pieces of Post-Truth, Centrum, Belgium, 2017; "Kollektivwechsel" Artist Book Project, No Cube Gallery, Münster, Germany, 2017 ; A Journey Into an Empty Room, Montagenhalle, Berlin, Germany, 2017 ; Macht Kunst, Deutsche Bank Atrium, Berlin, Germany, 2015; Leg los!, 48 stunden Neukölln, Schillerpalais, Berlin, Germany, 2015; UHU, Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz, Berlin, 2014. In 2018 he was awarded a grant by SAHA Foundation to take part in the Escuela FLORA residency program in Bogota, Colombia. He lives and works in Berlin.
