Jimin Lee participated in the Curatorial Intensive Bangkok (2018) organized by ICI and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Southeast Asian Art History at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (2024–). She holds a master’s degree in Southeast Asian Regional Theory and has worked as a curator and researcher at the Seoul Museum of Art (2018–2022), Asia Culture Center (2015–2017), SAMUSO: Space for Contemporary Art (2013), and the Busan Biennale (2012).
Her curatorial research has been supported by several international programs, including ICI's Curatorial Intensive (2018), the Lithuanian Cultural Institute (2022), the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Poland (2021), FOCUS: Montpellier by French Institute (2019), and Curatorial Studies Venice (2017).
Jimin's current research and curatorial practice focus on contemporary Southeast Asian art, particularly on how local artists articulate alternative histories through distinct voices and approaches beyond Western-centric frameworks.
