Jorell Legaspi has been Senior Director for Arts and Culture at Ayala Foundation, the social development arm of the Ayala Group of Companies, since 2025. He serves as Director of Ayala Museum and oversees the strategic development of the Foundation's expanding portfolio of cultural platforms, including the Filipinas Heritage Library and the forthcoming Kontempo - Center for Contemporary Art. Prior to his current role, Legaspi was appointed Deputy Director-General for Museums at the National Museum of the Philippines in 2022. During his term, he led curatorial development, operations, public programming, research, and collections care within the organization’s growing network of over 20 national museums.
Having worked in Qatar’s cultural and creative industries for over a decade, Legaspi explores the intersections across community development, heritage management, museum practice, media, design, and communications. In 2010, he joined the founding team of Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art as Head of Creative Communications, establishing the museum’s inaugural brand strategy. He transferred to the Museum of Islamic Art in 2013 as Head of Publications to spearhead interpretive design and content strategy for exhibitions and public programs.
Legaspi completed his M.A. in Museum and Gallery Practice from University College London-Qatar, where his research examined the role of artist-run initiatives on creative placemaking and urban revitalization in Manila’s inner cities.
