ETC. Magazine

ETC. Magazine is an independent publication based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices in the Balkans, Baltics, and broader Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. Founded in 2021 by a collective of curators, gallerists and art professionals, the magazine is run by Hana Čeferin, Ajda Ana Kocutar and Lara Mejač. It was established to address the lack of international visibility for emerging artists and writers from these regions. Since 2022, ETC. has published three annual print issues, with the fourth set for release in 2025. Each issue explores urgent social, political, and environmental themes through essays, interviews, and artistic showcases, providing a platform for critical discourse and cross-border dialogue. In recent years, they’ve become an important contributor to the art landscape in Slovenia and beyond, not only through the magazine, but through the exhibition cycle that accompanies each issue in international venues, by taking over as artistic directors of Ljubljana Art Weekend and running diverse discussions and educational programs locally and across Europe.
