Pia Singh

Pia Singh is an art writer and independent curator based in Chicago. Born in Mumbai, her proposed research investigates community-engaged arts practices at the intersection of contemporary art and design thinking. Since 2010, she has facilitated several exhibitions in India, Singapore, Dubai, and Chicago, with a penchant for lens-based work and experimental practices. During the COVID-19 crisis, Pia founded by & for (2020), a solidarity initiative that aims to connect emerging curators with local artists, and to collectively raise funds in support of grassroot social justice organizations. Her writing has been published by ArtIndia, Cultured, Sixty Inches From Center, and NewCity Magazine.
