2022 Curatorial Forum

Apr 6 – 9, 2022

Chicago, IL, USA
EXPO CHICAGO & 21C MUSEUM HOTEL

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

This year’s Curatorial Forum brought together over 40 mid-career and established curators from 20 U.S. states. In addition to guided site visits to the fair and cultural institutions in Chicago, the curators participated in a series of closed-doors sessions led by Allison Glenn, Dana Kopel, Amy Sadao, and Susana Tempkin. The sessions examined questions of racial equity in the curatorial field, in relation to the artists and communities we serve, labor conditions, and the role of curators and museums in shaping and presernving collective memory.
