Sofia de Grenade (Osorno, 1983) graduated in Visual Arts from the Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, and previously studied at the Universidad ARCIS. In her early years, she worked in education programs in rural areas of southern Chile. She was co-director of the Sagrada Mercancía collective, and has exhibited her works in numerous locations including Espacio el Dorado (Bogotá, Colombia), MADMI (San Juan, Puerto Rico), and the MSU Broad Art Museum (East Lansing, Michigan). In 2018, de Grenade was the winner of the AMA grant to carry out a residency in the Flora ars + Natura program in Bogotá, Colombia. She is currently a university professor living and working in Santiago de Chile.
