Dorrah Alharbi

Dorrah Alharbi is a historian, curator, and artist based in Chicago, IL. Her work examines the politics of memory in modern and contemporary art from West Asia, with particular attention to artistic experimentation of Arab artists in the diaspora.

Alharbi has held research and curatorial positions at cultural and academic institutions including the Pulitzer Arts Foundation, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and the Arab American Cultural Center at the University of Illinois Chicago. She holds a BA in History from the University of Illinois Chicago and an MA in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin.
