Katrine Elise Agpalza Pedersen is an art historian and curator based in Oslo, whose practice is shaped by questions of diasporic ancestry and the role of storytelling – inquiries rooted in her own experience as a second-generation Filipina immigrant in Norway. She earned her MA in Art History at the University of Oslo. Currently, Pedersen holds the position of Curator of Contemporary Art at MUNCH, Oslo. Her curatorial practice combines alternative realities, spiritualities, and technology.
Previously, Pedersen held the position of Curator at Kunsthall Trondheim, where she also served as Interim Director in 2022. In 2024, she served as chair of The Norwegian Association of Curators and was Office for Contemporary Art Norway's (OCA) 2024 Curator in Residence at International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York City.
Upcoming curatorial projects include "Katharina Grosse – Black Bed" with Trine Otte Bak Nielsen as Co-Curator (2026). Recent projects include "Sin Wai Kin – Man's World", curated with Adam Kleinman (2025), the group show and research project "Attention After Technology", curated with Stefanie Hessler and others (2022–2024), "Panteha Abareshi – INVALID PLEASURES" and "A Body of Memory (from neurons to the sea)" with Kaja Grefslie Waagen as Assistant Curator (both 2023), "Unweaving the binary code – Hannah Ryggen Triennale 2022", curated with Stefanie Hessler (2022), and "Sex Ecologies", as part of the curatorial team led by Katja Aglert and Stefanie Hessler, and "Korakrit Arunanondchai – Songs for dying" (both 2021).
