Garry Noland earned a BA (Art History) from University of Missouri-Kansas City. Recognitions include NEA/Mid-America Arts Alliance Fellowship (Works on Paper/Painting), Studios Inc. Residency Fellowship and Charlotte Street Visual Artists Fellowship. Selected solo exhibits include Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (Omaha, NE), Cleve Carney Museum of Art (DuPage, IL), Fine Arts and Design Center, Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS, and Material Exhibitions (Chicago, IL). Selected group shows have been at John Michael Kohler Art Center, CalState University-Dominguez Hills, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and National Building Arts Center, East St. Louis, IL. Noland's work is represented by Nick Ryan Gallery (Boulder, CO). Since 2020, Noland has curated/operated Holsum Gallery, a Kansas City artist-run project.
