Martina Angelotti is a independent curator and writer based in Milan. From 2022 to 2025 she has been curator of Visual Art and Culture at Fondazione Antonio Ratti (Como), where she carried out a longterm program on the relationship between artistic and ecological practices. She is currently co-founder and co-artistic director of Post-Colonia (Marina di Massa, Tuscany), an artistic platform that investigates the built and natural landscape marked by former seaside buildings (Colonie Marine) on the coast. Since 2007, she is co-founder and artistic director of ON (Bologna), a project dedicated to the relationship between art and the public sphere. From 2014 to 2020 she was artistic director of Careof (Milan). Angelotti lectures widely and teaches seminars at the Accademia Galli di Como, Università Cattolica di Milano and Università Iuav di Venezia. She has published essays and edited artist monographs for Mousse, NERO, Treccani and Postmedia Books. Recent publications include “Visible. Art as policies for care” (co-edited with Matteo Luccheti and Judith Wielander), NERO Ed., 2024; “Fiamma Montezemolo. Hidden in plain sight”, NERO ed., 2024; “Beyond Archive”, Edizioni di Comunità, 2020 and the Italian translation of “The Inheritance”, Ed. Meltemi 2023, a graphic novel by anthropologist and artist Elizabeth Povinelli.
