Sebastián Valenzuela-Valdivia (Santiago, Chile, 1990) is a researcher, curator, and editor of contemporary art. With a degree in Visual Arts and Photography and a Master's in Art Theory and History from the University of Chile, his practice lies at the intersection of historical research, archival work, and publishing, understood as critical infrastructures for reactivating memories and challenging narratives. In 2019 he joined the Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende (MSSA), where he coordinates the Archive and Publications Department, integrating conservation and cataloging processes with research, publications, and Debate and Thought events. His curatorial work is characterized by a review of critical artistic and museological practices, with an interest in the reception of the image, historiographical narratives, biographical intersections, and the ways in which absence, fiction, and "possible worlds" allow us to consider the collection and its future. In 2010, he founded Écfrasis, a platform dedicated to the publication, research, and dissemination of Latin American art. He teaches at Alberto Hurtado University and at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
