Tinashe Mushakavanhu is a Zimbabwe-born writer, literary scholar, and curator whose work engages with archives, literature, and visual culture across Africa and its diasporas. He is currently Assistant Professor in African Literature and Visual Cultures at Harvard University. He was recently a curatorial fellow at G.A.S. Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria. His recent curatorial project, Disrupted Dialogues was held at the Old Fire Station in Oxford, England, which explored the tensions and possibilities of collaboration and cultural exchange across time and geography through the figure of Dambudzo Marechera. He is also working with the ARAK Collection to activate and reinterpret archival materials. Tinashe's work moves fluidly between scholarly research, creative practice, and curatorial experimentation, foregrounding how literature and art can reimagine the conditions of knowledge production and cultural memory.
