Laura Fungai Ganda is a Rusape-based curator, researcher, and arts manager whose practice engages critically with the politics of representation and the transformative potential of artistic production in Zimbabwe. Grounded in community engagement and collaborative methodologies as tools for curatorial research and production, her curatorial approach engages art as a site of resistance, renewal, and social inquiry. She interrogates the entanglements of post-colonial memory, gendered subjectivity, ecological consciousness, and embodied forms of resistance foregrounding how materiality and form operate as conduits for cultural agency, social justice and power and historical redress. Her curatorial interventions emphasize process, co-creation and dialogic exchange in artistic practice. Through a practice rooted in heritage, solidarity and institutional critique, she explores how visual culture can challenge dominant histories and propose new modes of being. A Chevening Scholar with an MA in Arts Management and Heritage Studies, she has contributed to international curatorial networks, advancing a local socially engaged curatorial discourse connected to the global.
