Frances Wadsworth Jones.

Frances Wadsworth Jones.

Frances Wadsworth Jones (b. 1983; London, UK) is a jewellery designer, maker and educator who lives and works in London. At the core of her practice is an interest in subverting jewellery traditions; combining a commitment to understanding and executing time-honoured processes of making with a conceptual rigour that allows these processes to be viewed in unexpected contexts. In her ongoing collaboration with Pio Abad, Wadsworth Jones extends the role of jewellery beyond adornment and into the realm of contemporary art and forensics. Recent projects include: 2024 Turner Prize, Tate Britain (2024); Fear of Freedom Makes Us See Ghosts, Ateneo Art Gallery (2022); In Our Veins Flow Ink and Fire, 5 th Kochi Muziris Biennale (2022); Phantom Limb, Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai (2019); Kiss the Hand You Cannot Bite, Kadist, San Francisco (2019); Fairest of the Fair, Bellas Artes Projects, Manila (2019); Make Wrong/Right/Now, the 2nd Honolulu Biennial (2019); Fabricate, Vitsoe, Munich Jewellery Week (2019). She is also a lecturer at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design.
