ICI, en colaboración con la Fundación Alumnos47, presentó el segundo Curatorial Intensivo en la Ciudad de México. Este programa fue el quinto Intensivo Curatorial de ICI en América Latina, desarrollado íntegramente en español. Continuando con nuestro compromiso de promover la diversidad del mundo del arte ofreciendo una plataforma donde los curadores pueden encontrarse, compartir y dialogar con el contexto local, ofreciendo un programa de formación curatorial a profesionales de habla hispana. El papel crucial de la escena del arte contemporáneo mexicano, tanto a nivel internacional como para el continente, ofreció un rico escenario cultural para este programa, que incluyó una diversa gama de instituciones públicas y privadas.


ICI, in collaboration with Fundación Alumnos47, presented the second Curatorial Intensive in Mexico City. This program was ICI’s fifth Curatorial Intensive conducted entirely in Spanish in Latin America, continuing our commitment to embrace the diversity of the art world by providing curatorial training to Spanish-speaking professionals and by offering a platform where curators can meet, share, and fully engage with the local context. Mexico City, with its crucial role in the contemporary art scene on the continent and beyond, provided a rich cultural landscape for this program.

Clara Bolívar is a researcher and curator of modern and contemporary art based in Tepoztlán, Mexico.

Marielsa Castro

Marielsa Castro Vizcarra works between pedagogical and curatorial practices of art and architecture.

Daril Fortis

Daril Fortis is a Tijuana-based curator exploring politics of memory around performance art, archives, and bodies.

Rolando Hernández

Rolando Hernández is an artist living between CDMX and Oaxaca City.

Jorge Lopera

Jorge Lopera is an independent researcher and curator based in Medellín (Colombia).

Alejandro Morales

Alejandro 'Luperca' Morales graduated with Honorary Mention of the Degree in Theory and Criticism of Art at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ, 2013).

Josseline Pinto

Josseline Pinto (1996, Guatemala) is an independent curator, educator, and poet based in Guatemala City.

Lorenzo Sandoval

Lorenzo Sandoval works as an artist and curator. He holds a B.F.A and a Masters in Photography, Art and Technology from UPV (Valencia, Spain).

Isabel Parkes

Isabel Parkes is a British-Ameican curator and writer.

Marco Calderón

Marco Calderon is a curator, artist, and art director based between Paris and Mexico City.

María del Carmen Carrión is an independent curator and art critic from Quito, who received an MA from the Curatorial Practice Program at California College of the Arts, in San Francisco, and taught at Universidad Católica in Quito.

Yasmil Raymond joined The Museum of Modern Art as Associate Curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture in July 2015.

Lucía Sanromán

Lucía Sanromán is an independent curator and writer who lives between Mexico City and San Diego, CA.

Sol Henaro is a curator, researcher, and active member of the contemporary art scene in Mexico.
