Independent Curators International (ICI) produces exhibitions, events, publications, research and training opportunities for curators and diverse audiences around the world. Established in 1975 and headquartered in New York, ICI is a hub that connects emerging and established curators, artists, and art spaces, forging international networks and generating new forms of collaborations. Tiago de Abreu Pinto
Tiago de Abreu Pinto is a Brazilian curator living in Madrid. He is currently collaborating with the magazines Dasartes and Select and developing his PhD thesis on contemporary curating at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Tiago recently worked as coordinator of a Spanish project between art galleries and curators called Jugada a 3 Bandas. Tiago was formerly the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Revista Claves de Arte, a magazine based in Madrid that was focused on contemporary art galleries. Tiago interned in several art galleries where he oversaw all aspects of programming and curating exhibitions, assisting art dealers, and researching and cataloguing of works of contemporary and modern artists, among other tasks. Tiago also interned at two art fairs where he assisted artists, curators and dealers.
