Independent Curators International (ICI) produces exhibitions, events, publications, research and training opportunities for curators and diverse audiences around the world. Established in 1975 and headquartered in New York, ICI is a hub that connects emerging and established curators, artists, and art spaces, forging international networks and generating new forms of collaborations. ICI provides access to the people and practices that are key to current developments in the field, inspiring fresh ways of seeing and contextualizing contemporary art.
Rolando Hernández is an artist who works with performance, sound, archiving, and curatorial projects. He is co-curator of Umbral, a project space and festival in Mexico City and Oaxaca, and manages the CCADDASM (Centro de Creación, Archivo y Difusión de Documentos de Arte Sonoro en México). He writes for Revista Enjambre and is archiving the work of Angel Cosmos at Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City. This year he was a resident at the Laboratorio de Danza y Musica TanzAntenna hosted by the Goethe Institute in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and he was also the artist in residence for Casaplan/Tsonami Arte Sonoro in Valparaiso, Chile.
