Stacion-Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina
Prishtina, Kosovo
November 15 – December 14, 2013

Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina presents do it, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, through December 14, 2013, marking the first realization of do it in Kosovo. Drawing from a specific reading of the project and instructions from the 2013 publication, do it: the compendium, Stacion will produce an interpretation of do it that is both site-specific and global in scope. For Stacion's exhibition, gallery spaces, television and newspapers will all become exhibition platforms for sharing artist instructions while simultaneously inviting the public to realize artworks. With over two hundred artist instructions, do it at Stacion will be one of the most open-ended yet comprehensive presentations of do it. The invitation for creating new instructions is open to all Kosovar citizens.

Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina presented do it curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist from November 15 through December 14, 2013 marking the first time that do it has been realized in Kosovo. Completely objectless, this iteration of the project instead focused on the mass dissemination of information and infiltrated the media with artists’ instructions, drawn from do it: the compendium. With the goal of altering the role of the audience, Stacion organized the presentation of a selection of artists’ instructions on unexpected platforms such as newspapers, propaganda posters, and the evening news, making public the process of transmitting unconventional content while not documenting the consequences.
