Independent Curators International (ICI) supports the work of curators to help create stronger art communities through experimentation, collaboration, and international engagement. Curators are arts community leaders and organizers who champion artistic practice; build essential infrastructures and institutions; and generate public engagement with art. Our collaborative programs connect curators across generations, and across social, political and cultural borders. They form an international framework for sharing knowledge and resources — promoting cultural exchange, access to art, and public awareness for the curator’s role.

Frac des pays de la Loire / HAB Galerie
Nantes / France
February 5, 2016 - April 17, 2016
Frac des pays de la Loire has been invited by Le Voyage à Nantes to curate an exhibition at HAB Galerie in Nantes, France. The curators have organized a large group exhibition that focuses on artworks to be reactivated: performances, instructions, scores, immaterial artworks, wall drawings, etc. This iteration of do it is exhibited within the context of the larger exhibition, which includes artworks and ephemera from the Frac collection as well as works loaned from a variety of institutional collections in France. Works from do it are displayed throughout the space, and are demarcated from the loaned works by stickers and didactic labels. In addition, attendants specifically stationed in the gallery assist visitors in enacting the do it instructions.
For more information and a complete list of events and programs scheduled in conjunction with the exhibition, visit the Frac des pays de la Loire website, here.
