International Forum Curator-led Tour by Legacy Russell at MoMA

Mar 24, 2022
10:30am

New York, NY, USA
Museum of Modern Art

18 West 54th Street
New York, NY 10019

Members of ICI's International Forum are invited to a curator-led tour by Curatorial Intensive alumna Legacy Russell, former Associate Curator at The Studio Museum and current Executive Director at The Kitchen, of Projects: Kahlil Robert Irving at MoMA. The exhibition presents an installation of sculpture and digital and two-dimensional works wrapped around the gallery as site-specific wallpaper. Drawing from the vast scroll of digital culture—which the artist describes as “an everlasting feedback loop of my experience”—Kahlil Robert Irving mines the Internet as a living archive of Black life, death, remembrance, celebration, and survival.

The tour will be followed by refreshments in Café 2 on the second floor from 11:30am-12:30pm.

Event open to all International Forum members and up.
