Ten years after the Venice Biennale Harald Szemann curated in 2001 (Platea dell’Umanità), that followed his previous edition of 1999 (dAPERTutto), Fondazione Querini Stampalia hosts, in a two days cycle, HARALD SZEEMANN in context, where international scholars and critics are invited to reinterpret and remember the well-known figure of the curator. Organized by the Istituto Svizzero di Roma, and curated by Stefano Chiodi, Salvatore Lacagnina and Henri de Riedmatten, the meeting focuses on the figure of him who, in the Sixties and Seventies, revolutionized the role of the curator in the art system. The Venice base of the Istituto Svizzero also proposes the Screenings section, with projections of original interviews and documentaries.
