Comradeship Reading Group: Form-Specific Art

On April 23 we are reading the second chapter of Zdenka Badovinac‘s Comradeship: Curating, Art, and Politics in Post-Socialist Europe, “Form-Specific Art,” translated by Borut Cajnko and previously published by the Moderna galerija, Ljubljana in 2003. The conversation will be co-led by writer Margot Bouman and artist and filmmaker Clemens Poole. Throughout 2019 ICI is reading and thinking through Comradeship in our monthly reading group. This selection of texts by Badovinac, edited by J. Myers-Szupinska, gathers twenty years of writings from disparate and hard-to-find sources alongside new texts from the forward-thinking Slovenian curator, museum director, and scholar Zdenka Badovinac.
