Lawrence Rinder is Director of the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, having previously held the position of Founding Director of the Wattis Institute and Dean of the California College of the Arts as well as the Anne and Joel Ehrenkranz Curator of Contemporary Art at the Whitney Museum of American Art. He is also a writer of art criticism, poetry, drama and fiction.
In conjunction with the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Art Gallery’s presentation of Create, this October 3rd both curators Lawrence Rinder and Matthew Higgs will be present at the gallery to give a special talk about the exhibition.
Create is a group show that will bring well-deserved attention to the compelling work created over the past 20 years by artists with developmental disabilities.
